Latvian crew rescues eight fishermen on Brazilian coast

The crew of Elandra Corallo ship, belonging of Latvian-based shipping company LSC, on Brazilian coast rescued eight fishermen from a sinking fishing boat, LSC representative reported.

Elandra Corallo crew on Sunday morning noticed a sinking fishing boat with people on board who were signaling for help. Captain Andrejs Taranenko launched the rescue operation immediately.

A life boat was used to transport all eight fishermen to the Elandro Corallo board, and they received the necessary medical assistance. LSC ship then transported the rescued people to the St. Louis port.

LCS belongs to Dutch-registered company Vitol Netherlands.
