Latvian U19 men's b-ball team concludes WC in 12th place

 In a classification match today, the Latvian under-19 men's basketball team lost to Argentina 68:74, thus concluding this year's FIBA World U19 Men's Basketball Championships in 12th place, reported LETA/BNS. 


Artus Kurucs and Valters Veveris scored 15 points a piece for Latvia.


Latvia qualified for the World Championships by taking silver at last year's European U18 Men's Basketball Championships.


Latvia was without several of its potential leaders in this year's tournament, including the talented Arturs Zagars.
