VEF Riga to play in one group with Bamberg Brose in FIBA Champions League

Print versionVEF Riga basketball club will play in one group with Germany's Bamberg Brose in FIBA Champions League next season, according to the official draw results for the 2019-20 season of the Champions League, reported LETA/BNS.
The other clubs that will play in Group C of the Champions League are Iberostar Tenerife (Spain), Gaziantep (Turkey), Peristeri (Greece), and CEZ (Czech Republic), who will be joined by two more qualifiers.
Another Latvian basketball club that has not yet qualified for the FIBA Champions League is Ventspils, which will play either Falco Szombathely (Hungary) or Romania's CSM Oradea in the qualifying match.
The first FIBA Champions League games will be played home and away on 17 and 20 September.
