Other events in Baltic States

The level of fire danger in many forests of Latvia remains high and has even increased in some areas in central Latvia, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center warned.

In Riga, the northeastern province of Vidzeme and the southern province of Zemgale, the yellow warning has been replaced with the orange warning, the highest possible warning level. The red warning is issued in Latvia only in cases of severe flooding, storms or devastating thunderstorms.

The warning of an increased fire danger in forests remains in force for three weeks already.
