After taking a 2:0 lead, the Latvian national ice hockey team let in four unanswered goals and lost to Russia 2:4 last night in an exhibition match at Arena Riga, informed LETA. 

Martins Dzierkals and Roberts Bukarts scored the goals for Latvia.

These two teams will play another match at Arena Riga tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Latvia will play its last two friendlies in Switzerland on May 3 and 4.

During the World Championship's preliminary round in Bratislava, Latvia will be in Group B, which also includes Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden and Norway. The four best teams in the group will advance to the quarterfinals.
