VEF Riga loses to Nizhny Novgorod

 Latvian basketball club VEF Riga was defeated by Russia's Nizhny Novgorod 83:93 (15:24, 13:29, 31:20, 24:20) in a VTB United League regular season game on Wednesday, snapping its five-game winning streak,writes LETA. 


Mareks Mejeris led the Riga club with 17 points, while Kendrick Perry scored 21 points for Nizhny Novgorod.


In the VTB League standings at the moment, VEF Riga is in tenth place with eight wins and 14 losses, while Nizhny Novgorod is in seventh place with 11 wins and 8 losses.
