In his debut with the New Orleans Pelicans last night, Latvian shooting guard Dairis Bertans made one assist as the Pelicans lost to the Atlanta Hawks 116:128 (33:26, 33:39, 20:29, 30:34), informed LETA. 

The 29-year-old Bertans was on the floor for six minutes, missing his only shot attempt.

Frank Jackson and Julius Randle each scored 23 points for the Pelicans, while Kevin Huerter led the Hawks with 27 points.

The Pelicans are currently in 12th place in the NBA Western Conference standings with 30 wins and 39 losses, while the Hawks are 12th in the Eastern Conference with 23 wins and 45 losses.

As reported, Bertans has become the sixth Latvian to play in the NBA. There are currently four Latvians on NBA rosters: Bertans, his brother Davis Bertans, Rodions Kurucs, and Kristaps Porzingis.
