Dinamo lose to Spartak in OT shoot-out

In Kontinental Ice Hockey League (KHL) action on Monday, Latvian ice hockey club Riga Dinamo lost to Russian ice hockey club Moscow Spartak 2:3 in an overtime shoot-out, reported LETA/BNS. 


Brandon McMillan and Kevin Clark scored the regulation goals for the Latvian club, with Dimitri Kalinin and Artiom Fyodorov for Spartak. Ilya Zubov scored the winner in the OT shoot-out.


It is interesting the point out that Latvian forwards Kaspars Daugavins and Martins Karsums also play for Spartak, with both making assists in yesterday's match.


In the KHL's Western Conference standings at the moment, Dinamo remains in eighth place with 31 points from 33 matches, while Spartak is in fifth place in the conference standings with 40 points from 35 matches.


Up next for Dinamo - a road game at Russian ice hockey club Sochi on Wednesday.
