 Latvian weightlifter Rebeka Koha won the bronze medal at the World Weightlifting Championships in Turkmenistan on Sunday, reported LETA/BNS. 

The twenty-year-old Koha lifted 227 kilograms in total, setting a new personal best.

Hsing-Chun Kuo of Taiwan became the world champion with 237 kilograms, while Guiming Chen (China) placed second with 231 kilograms.

Competing in the women's 59 kilogram bodyweight category, Koha lifted 103 kilograms in snatch and 124 kilograms in clean and jerk.

As reported, at the World Weightlifting Championships last year Koha also finished in third place, in the 58 kilogram category.
