Latvia hosts Slovenia tonight in FIBA WC qualifier

Print versionThe Latvian national men's basketball team will host Slovenia tonight in a qualification match for the 2019 FIBA World Cup, informs LETA.
The match will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on TV6.
Latvia is without many of its leading players who play for NBA and
Euroleague clubs due to the ongoing conflict between FIBA and ULEB, but so is
Slovenia.
In the qualification group standings at the moment, Spain is in first
place with six wins and zero losses, followed by Turkey and Latvia with four
wins and two losses each, Montenegro and Ukraine with three wins and three
losses each, as well as Slovenia with two wins and four losses.
The top three teams in the group will qualify for the 2019 FIBA
Basketball World Cup in China.
Latvia will play its next qualifier at Spain on Monday.
