Riga Dinamo scores first win in new KHL season

Print versionLatvian hockey cub Riga Dinamo beat Magnitogorsk Metallurg 2:1 (1:0, 0:0, 1:1) last night to earn its first win in the new Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) season, informs LETA.
Brandon
McMillan and Kristaps Sotnieks scored the goals for Dinamo, while Kristers Gudlevskis saved 33 out of 34 shots
on goal. Ivan Vereshchagin scored the lone goal for the Metallurg.
As reported, Dinamo was
defeated by Yekatirinburg Avtomibilist 2:4 in the season's opening
match on Sunday.
The Riga club is currently in seventh place in the KHL Western Conference standings.
