In VTB United League action on Sunday, Latvian basketball champions VEF Riga lost 84:89 (20:15, 9:21, 26:27, 21:23, 8:13) in overtime to Saratov Avtodor, reports LETA.

VEF Riga is currently in ninth place in VTB United League standings with seven wins and fourteen losses, while Avtodor is in sixth place with eleven wins and nine losses.

Paul Carter led VEF Riga with 26 points, Mareks Mejeris scored 16 points and Ken Brown had 13 points and nine assists. Branden Frazier was the highest scorer for Avtodor with 28 points, while Coty Clarke scored 27 points and grabbed ten rebounds.
