The Latvian Institute and society VSK Noskrien invite every Latvian and friend of Latvia to jog a route resembling the geographic shape of Latvia on May 5, Saturday, to mark Latvia's May 4 restoration of independence, the Latvian Institute informed LETA.

Those who wish to participate in the campaign are advised to use premade routes available on latvia.eu or, using a sports app, create their own route in Latvia or any city in the world. They can share their routes in the social networks with friends, family members and neighbors, using the hashtag #izskrienLatviju, and invite them to participate also.

The Latvian Institute explains that the distance does not matter - it is all about the contour and the fun.

The Latvian Institute and VSK Noskrien launched the campaign Jog Latvia in the World! last year. More than 40 routes were made in more than 20 countries.
