Latvia's leading biathlete Andrejs Rastorgujevs on Thursday finished 15th in the ten-kilometer sprint competition at Biathlon World Cup event in Holmenkollen, Norway. This was the eight, penultimate race of the current World Cup season, informs LETA.

Rastorgujevs missed one target in the first shoot and cleared all in the second, but his ski speed dropped in the last lap and the Latvian fell to the 15th position, although in the first laps he was among the ten quickest biathletes.

Norway's Henrik L'Abee-Lund won the race, hitting all targets and finishing in 26 minutes and 10.3 seconds. Another Norwegian, Johannes Thingnes Bo, who had to make a penalty loop, finished second 6.1 second behind the winner, and Martin Fourcade of France came third 0.8 seconds behind Bo.

Rastorgujevs lost 47.6 seconds to L'Abee-Lund.
