Ostapenko crashes out of Dubai Tennis Championships

Latvia's tennis star Alona Ostapenko could not find her game against Russia's Elena Vesnina yesterday, losing 1-6, 6-7 (6:8) in the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships, reports LETA.

Ostapenko has earned one WTA ranking point from the tournament and will now be preparing for the prestigious tournaments in the United States' Indian Wells and Miami.

The fourth-seeded Ostapenko is currently ranked sixth in the WTA rankings, while Vesnina is in 23rd place.
