Zvejnieks through to Olympic short-track quarters

Print versionLatvia's Roberts Zvejnieks yesterdayfinished in second place in his heat and
qualified for the quarterfinals of the Olympic 500 meter men's short-track
event, informs LETA.
Zvejnieks finished his heat in 40.563 seconds, which is a new Latvian record.
The quarterfinal heats, semifinal heats and final will take place on Thursday.
This is the debut Olympics for the 20-year-old Zvejnieks, who finished in 15th
place in the 1,000 meters short-track event last week.
