Bendika finishes 16th at Biathlon World Cup event in Italy

Print versionLatvian biathlete Baiba Bendika placed 16th at women's 7.5 kilometer sprint at the Biathlon World Cup event in Italy's Antholz-Anterselva yesterday, reports LETA.
Norway's Tiril Eckhoff won the race, clocking 21 minutes 5.3 seconds. Laura Dahlmeier (Germany) finished second and Veronika Vitkova (Czech Republic) third.
Kaisa Makarainen, who placed 26th today, is first in the overall standings at the moment with 504 points to her name. Anastasia Kuzmina is second with 493 points and Dorothea Wierer is third with 435 points.
Bendika is in 47th place with 72 points.
