Latvia U-20 defeats Germany, but fails to earn promotion to Elite Division in ice-hockey

Print versionIn their fifth and final match at the World U-20 Hockey Championship,
Division A, on Saturday, the Latvian team defeated Germany 1:0, informs LETA.
However, this was not enough to earn promotion to the Elite Division, as
Latvia finished in second place in the group with 12 points behind Kazakhstan
with 13 points.
Renars Krastenbergs scored the lone goal for Latvia.
