5 European authors to share their stories at Writers Without Borders event in Latvia
A literary event organized next week as part of the annual Prose Readings,
will bring together five European authors who will share their stories with the
audience in Riga, LETA was told at the French Institute in Latvia.
Writers Without Borders brings to Latvia five European authors with a
migration background - either because they have migrated themselves or because
they belong to a family with different roots from the country they live in -
and who therefore deal with biculturalism.
The authors invited to share their stories at the November 30 event include
Geeti Amiri from Denmark, Mike Collier from the UK, Zinaida Linden from
Finland, Abbas Khider from Germany and Emmanuel Vilsaint from France.
To dive deeper into their stories and to understand how this twofold
cultural identity influences their works, EUNIC-Latvia, in cooperation with the
literary Festival Prozas Lasijumi (Prose Readings), invites every one
interested in Literature and, more widely, curious people to a series of
discussions.
Journalist Ansis Bogustovs will host the event which will take place at
NicePlace Telpa in Riga on November 30.
