In another White Group match earlier on Sunday, Czech tennis player
Karolina Pliskova beat Venus Williams of the U.S. 6-2, 6-2.
Ostapenko is yet to play White Group matches on Tuesday and Thursday. The
two best players of each group will advance to the semis of the WTA Finals in
Singapore.
