Liepaja/Mogo triumphs in Latvian Football Cup

BC, Riga, 19.10.2017.

Arturs Karasausks scored two goals in the final of the Latvian Football Cup on Wednesday, as his Liepaja/Mogo defeated FK Riga 2:0, informs LETA.

This is the first time that Liepaja/Mogo, which was established on the ashes of the financially troubled football club Liepajas Metalurgs several years ago, has won the Latvian Cup.

The win also ensures a spot for Liepaja/Mogo in the UEFA Europa League qualification tournament next season.
