Koha wins gold at European Junior Weightlifting Championship

Print versionLatvia's Rebeka Koha convincingly won gold at the European Junior Weightlifting Championship on Tuesday, informs LETA.
This is Koha's third gold medal in a row at the European Junior Championships.
In the -58 kg division, Koha lifted 98 kilograms in snatch and 115 kilograms in clean and jerk, or 213 kilograms altogether.
Aysegul Cakin (Turkey) won the silver medal with 187 kilograms (82+105) kilograms, and Olha Pikash (Ukraine) placed third with 177 (77+100) kilograms.
At the 2017 European Weightlifting Championship, Koha won silver, she also placed fourth at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
