The annual music and art festival Positivus is kicking off in Latvia’s seaside town Salacgriva today, with Pixies, Grandmaster Flash, Maximo Park and Cigarettes After Sex scheduled to perform on the first day of the event, the festival’s spokeswoman Liga Andzane told LETA.

Festivalgoers will be able to exchange their tickets for armbands at the check-in point which will open at the festival’s main entrance at 12 noon.

The acts scheduled to perform on the festival’s main stage tonight include Trad Attack, Nothing but Thieves, Maximo Park and Pixies, and Balozu Pilni Pagalmi, Get Your Gun, Margaret Glaspy, Cigarettes After Sex, JP Cooper and Grandmaster Flash will be performing on the Nordea Stage.

The first artists scheduled to perform on the Palladium Stage today include Beyond Beyond, Okym & Tiiu, Ezeri, Chris Noah, Edavardi, Singapuras Satins and Bandmanster. Makree, Aeroplane, DJ Nova, Araabmuzik and DJ Rudd will be playing on the Electric Room stage.

In the following days, the festival’s program includes performances by Ellie Goulding, Austra, Nightwave, Rachel Claudio & Rick Feds, Only Lovers Left Alive, The Dissidents, Rae Sremmud, Kamasi Washington, Dzelzs Vilks and many other artists.
