Kibermanis' 2-man bob team places second in final WC stage
The Latvian two-man bobsleigh team piloted by Oskars Kibermanis finished in overall second place in the final Bobsleigh World Cup stage of the season at the Pyeongchang track in South Korea, where next year's Winter Olympics will be held, writes LETA.
Germany's Francesco Friedrich finished in overall first place, while Johannes Lochner, also from Germany, finished in third place.
Friedrich also triumphed in this season's Skeleton World Cup in the two-man bob with 1,545 points.
Meanwhile, Kibermanis finished in overall eighth place with 1,138 points, the Latvian two-man bob team piloted by Ugis Zalims finished in overall 12th place with 936 points, while Latvia's top bob pilot, Oskars Melbardis, who did not participate in several stages due to injury, finished in overall 16th place with 810 points.
