Latvian four-man bob teams take third, fourth place at World Cup final stage
The two Latvian four-man bobsleigh teams piloted by Oskars Kibermanis and Oskars Melbardis finished in overall third and fourth place respectively in the final Bobsleigh World Cup stage of the season at the Pyeongchang track in South Korea where next year's Winter Olympics will be held.
Oskars Kibermanis with Janis Jansons, Matiss Miknis and Raivis Zirups came in second in the first run but remained fifth in the second run which gave them overall third position.
Oaskars Melbardis with Daumants Dreiskens, Arivs Vilkaste and Janis Strenga shared the fourth place with another team after the first run and finished third in the second run, ending the season in the overall fourth place.
Alexander Kasjanov of Russia with his team of Aleksei Pushkarev, Vasilij Kondratenko and Alexey Zaitsev was the overall winner of Bobsleigh World Cup this season, leaving the Swiss crew of Rico Peter with Bror van der Zijde/Alex Baumann/Thomas Amrhein in the second place overall.
