Girgensons makes assist, but Sabres lose to Lightning

Print versionIn NHL action on Thursday, Latvian forward Zemgus Girgensons made an assist, however, his Buffalo Sabres lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning 2:4, reports LETA.
This snapped a two-game win streak for the Sabres.
Girgensons assisted his team's first goal which was scored by Matt Moulson in the third minute.
The Latvian was on the ice for 15 minutes, during which he took one shot on goal and ended the match with a +1 efficiency rating.
The Sabres remain in 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings at the moment with 41 points from 41 matches, while the Lightning are in 12th place in the conference with 44 points from 43 matches.
The Sabres play their next regular season match on Friday at the Carolina Hurricanes.
