Federation tasks ice hockey team to finish no lower than 10th at the World Championships

The Latvian Ice Hockey Federation has tasked the Latvian national ice hockey team to finish no lower than 10th at this year's Ice Hockey World Championships, informs LETA.
The Latvian squad has failed to finish in the top ten at the World Championships the past three tournaments.
Last year, the Latvian team finished in 13th place.
The final roster of the Latvian team participating in the World Championships is expected to be announced later.
This year's Ice Hockey World Championships will take place from May 6 to 22 in Russia.
Latvia will open the tournament this Friday against Sweden.
Latvia is in the tournament's Moscow group, and will play against Russia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark and Kazakhstan in the group stage.
