Other events in Baltic States

Nearly 6,000 personnel, including allies, are taking part in Spring Storm, the largest training exercise for the Estonian defense forces this year, which started on May 2^nd, reports LETA/BNS.

The exercise will start on May 2 and will end on May 20, and will take place in Tartu, Voru and Polva counties.

Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany are to send company-sized units to take part in the exercise. In addition, a Canadian team of specialists and Finnish staff officers are to participate.

Members of the defense forces of Estonia's allies are to practice cooperation with Estonian units as well as act as an enemy to the units being assessed at the exercise.

Spring Storm is the final exam for conscripts who were summoned in July and October last year.
