Latvian Opera concert masters. Oboe and tuba
The lively and buoyant pianist Agnese Egliņa continues to draw portraits of the LNSO's concert masters in Riga, informs liveriga.com.
In this concert, she will perform with masters of two absolutely different wind instruments. Egils Upatnieks plays the oboe, and the oboe is what gives the orchestra its tone. This tone also dictates how the orchestra will play. This part of the concert will be presented by Egils.
Meanwhile, Raivis Māgurs, and his tuba, serves as "fundamente" for the orchestra. Most often the instrument supports the orchestra and seldom comes to the foreground with a heavier solo. But now comes the opportunity to hear a part of a concert featuring the tuba.
