The Latvian national football team has moved down three spots in the latest FIFA world football rankings to 90th position, reports LETA.

In June, Latvia was ranked 82nd.

Latvia played its latest competitive match this past June – a 0:2 loss to the Netherlands in a EURO 2016 qualifier.

Latvia is currently in 5th place in EURO 2016 qualification Group A with three points from six matches.

Meanwhile, Estonia has moved up up two spots to 80th since the previous rankings, while Lithuania has dropped two spots and is currently ranked 109th.

After making it to the finals of the ''Copa America'' tournament, Argentina is atop the rankings, followed by Belgium, Germany is ranked third while Colombia is ranked fourth.

Meanwhile, Brazil has moved up to 5th in the rankings, followed by Portugal, Romania, Chile, as well as Wakes in ninth and England in tenth.

Mentioning Latvia's group opponents in the EURO 2016 qualification campaign, the Netherlands is ranked 12th, the Czech Republic is ranked 20th, Iceland is ranked 23rd, Turkey is ranked 46th, while Kazakhstan is ranked 145th.
