Music, art and alternative lifestyle festival “Yaga Gathering 2015” in Lithuania introduces one of the most original music bands this year – “Atlantida Projest” from Saint Petersburg, Russia. “Atlantida Project” is known for performing psychedelic folk genre music by combining folk music motifs with electronic sounds.

According to the vocalist Alexandra Sokolova, the birth of this unique music was influenced by a few quite different music tastes. The love for grunge music and energetic hard core electronic sounds beautifully intertwines with the passion for folklore and folk songs. Gradually band drifted away from traditional folk songs and started to create their own songs. Later they have found another affection – recitative.

Saint Petersburg‘s project “Atlantida” was formed in 2007. Presently band consists of three members: Alexandra Sokolova (vocal), Sergej Zyazin (electric guitar, synthesizer) and Kirill Soloviev (drums). Every music piece is the creation of various musical ideas which usually depend on the cosmic images in the vocalist’s head. Music sounds for these ideas are created by the band’s instrumentalist.

“The ideas can be found simply floating in the air, you do not even have to look for them. Life is full of various things, and even when everything looks boring and usual there are many events happening around. So it is enough ideas for music creation. Still sometimes we face difficulty to create musical form of the idea and to realize all creative projects. Different life events perpetually distract us though we never stop trying and creating something new,” Alexandra Sokolova says.

As stated by the performer, in the creative works of “Atlantida project” one can found the philosophical and mystical elements which unite all the listeners. „I treasure the feeling of phantasmagorical egregore while performing a song. That feeling gives strength for various real life adventures and helps to plug in to the music, and also to the listener. Music is a space which helps to approach many hearts and minds,” says the artist.

“Yaga Gathering” festival (June 30th – August 3rd) hosts the main and the chill-out stages, workshops and healing areas, circus stage, land art exhibitions and many more in the surroundings of Ežeraitis Forest at Spengla Lakeside (Valkininkai Dist., Lithuania). The atmosphere will be filled with reggae, dub and electronic music. Music project “Juno Reactor” and Lithuanians “Without Letters” are preparing the most exclusive shows. Even the Embassy of Israel is helping to organize the performance of the unique didgeridoo trio “Onogana”.

Guests are welcomed to use kindergarten, showers, saunas, camping equipment rent, safe parking lot and to enjoy different cuisines.
