Estonian ferry company's Tallink ships sailing under Estonian flag are open from September 1 for international trade union activities, the Baltic Business News channel cited ERR News.

This means that the trade unions can jointly pressure the ferry company, chairman of Estonian Seamenäs Independent Union, Kaia Vask, said.

The valid wage agreement signed between EMSA and Tallink ends on September 1. In addition, the Tallink ships sailing under Estonian flag don’t have a valid collective agreement.

According to Vask, it is possible that the Estonian and Finnish trade unions will be collaborating starting September 1.
