The French government therefore wishes to emphasize Rimsevics' contribution to consolidation of Latvia's positions in the European Union and the euro area, as the French Embassy told LETA. France considers Rimsevics' personal contribution to stabilization of the situation in Latvia during the economic and financial crisis very impressive and praiseworthy.

France also points out Rimsevics' significant contribution to the dialog between France and Latvia – close cooperation with the French Embassy and with France's leading financial experts in Paris and Frankfurt.
