Substantial increase in visits to Latvian museums in 2014

The number of visits to Latvian museums increased by 268,000 in 2014, reaching a total of 2.921 million visits, LETA was informed by the Ministry of Culture.
The ministry's Museum Department points out that despite the reduction in Latvia's population, there has been a stable increase in visits to Latvian museums, which continues in 2014.
The most popular museums in Latvia last year were Rundale Palace (258,301 visits) and Turaida Castle complex (250,492 visits).
