Estonian alternative folk-rock group ''Ewert and the Two Dragons'' to perform in Riga in March

One of the most internationally acclaimed Estonian alternative folk-rock acts ''Ewert And The Two Dragons'' will perform at the ''Palladium'' concert hall in Riga on March 21st, LETA was informed by ''Positivus Music'' spokeswoman Linda Igolniece.

 

At the concert, ''Ewert and The Two Dragons'' will present their highly anticipated third studio album ''Circles'', due to be released on February 24th.

 

The album was recorded in August 2013 at the Bear Creek Studio near Seattle and produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Vance Joy). ''Circles'' will also be the band's first record released by ''Sire Records'' (''Warner Music''). The first track of the album – ''Million Miles'' is already available on ''iTunes''.

 

Following an extensive three week tour across the east and west coasts of the United States, the band will kick off the North European leg of their tour in their home country of Estonia, at the ''Nordea'' concert hall in Tallinn on March 19th. After performing at ''Palladium'' in Riga on March 21st., ''Ewert and The Two Dragons'' will also play at the legendary Finnish music club ''Tavastia'' on April 3rd in Helsinki.

 

“We are very excited about the Riga performance, especially because we have so many great memories from previous concerts. We are also thrilled to be playing our new songs, although we will definitely include many tracks from both of our previous albums, which helped us create the special bond between us and our fans. So see you soon!'' the band’s lead singer Ewert Sundja said.

 

The three time ''Positivus Festival'' alumni ''Ewert And The Two Dragons'' are one of the most successful Estonian acts of recent years, with substantial following abroad. Intense work and countless performances in Estonia and abroad from 2011 to 2014 have paid off generously; their sophomore release ''Good Man Down'' became one of the best-selling albums in Estonia, with awards such as the ''Tallinn Music Week'' (''Go Change The World'') award in 2011, the Estonian Radio 2 award for ''Good Man Down'' (2011) as the best hit single, as well as five Estonian Music Awards in 2012 and the prestigious international ''Eurosonic European Border Breakers Award'' in 2013.

 

Tickets for the ''Palladium'' Riga show on March 21st are available from February 4th. at www.palladium.lv and all ''Bilesu Serviss'' box offices. The first 100 tickets will cost EUR 15, afterwards – EUR 20.
