Today at 7 p.m. in "Splendid Palace" in Riga, British film director Peter Greenaway will meet with the audience before the screening of his "Goltzius and the Pelican Company" to discuss its disturbing themes, as spokespersons from the "Baltic Pearl" Film Festival informed LETA.

Also today at 12 p.m., in Riga Congress Centre, under way is a "Baltic Pearl" press conference, dedicated to Greenaway and the premiere of his new film at the festival, and presentation of the new project "Sergei Eisenstein".

Tomorrow, September 16, the director will read a lecture and hold a master class for cinema professionals.

The director, whom the festival organizers describe as "one of the most imaginative, ambitious and controversial of all directors", recently was honored with a BAFTA Award.

At today's press conference, Greenaway will discuss the Europe's attitude towards nudity and the line between art and pornography in contemporary cinema.
