On Saturday, the Tallinn Zoo launched celebrations of its 75th anniversary, although the actual anniversary date is Monday, writes LETA/Delfi.ee.

Mayor of Tallinn Edgar Savisaar attended the anniversary celebrations on Monday, welcoming guests at noon at an official ceremony, followed by the declaration of the Friend of the Zoo title.

Throughout the weekend and on Monday, various entertainers performed on stages set up and in various facilities. On Monday, the Environmental Education Day was the prevalent theme of the day.
