Latvian basketball team defeats Sweden in EuroBasket qualifier in thriller

The Latvian national men's basketball team defeated Sweden 79:76 (17:18, 12:19, 22:13, 14:15, 14:11) in the overtime of a qualifier for the 2015 European Men's Basketball Championships (EuroBasket 2015) in Riga on Wednesday, reports LETA.
Kaspars Berzins was the highest scorer for Latvia with 23 points and ten rebounds, followed by Janis Strelnieks with 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
As reported, the EuroBasket qualification will go until August 27.
The winners of the seven qualification groups, as well as the six best runners-up will qualify for EuroBasket 2015 finals.
