There’s always more to Latvia than meets the eye. A couple of enthusiasts have placed 300 geocaching spots along the border of Latvia, covering almost 2000 kilometres, reports the Latvian Institute.

Geocaching is a free real-world outdoor treasure hunt. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using a smartphone or GPS and can then share their experiences online.

The 300 spots were published during the Independence Day celebrations last weekend as a gift to Latvia for its birthday.
