Estonian media advertising market volume grew by 10.4% in the third quarter of this year, year-on-year, to 18.12 million euros, aided by the autumn local municipality elections, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The Health Ministry has completed work on amendments to the Electronic Mass Media Law, which stipulate a complete ban on television commercials and advertisements of alcoholic beverages from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., informs LETA.

The cost of a media campaign in support of temporary residence permits issued to third-country citizens for their investments in Latvia is several hundreds of thousands of lats, but the precise cost is impossible to tell now because it is unknown how long the campaign will have to continue, Edgars Sins, head of the recently-established Development Fund for the Competitiveness of Latvia – the organizer of the campaign, said in an interview with the Nozare.lv business portal, writes LETA.
In September 2013, the amount of TV advertising in Latvia has grown by 28% from the same month last year, according to the information compiled by TNS Latvia market, social and media research agency, cites Baltic News Service/The Latvian Institute.
