Science, research and innovation activities are the main driving force for the Baltic States in general and Latvian economy, in particular. Latvian growth depends on scientific research and knowledge-like smart specialisation. Science’s component in Latvian political economy will in great extent provide a solid background for national innovative growth, while serving as a vital stimulus for active and productive research.

Installation of the Nord Stream 2 twin pipelines has been completed in the Finnish Exclusive Economic Zone with the end of pipelaying on the second line of the 374-kilometre long Finnish section.

The Finance Ministry has left Latvia’s GDP growth forecast for this year unchanged at 3.2% but has revised downwards its economic growth forecast for 2020, the ministry’s representatives informed the government, writes LETA.

The Estonian construction company Mitt & Perlebach has signed with Fausto Capital a contract as main contractor to complete the Fahle Park business park in 2020; the project represents an investment of close to 18.5 mln euros excluding VAT, reported LETA/BNS.
