Lithuanians advised against travelling to China over virus threat
There are currently about 300 Lithuanian citizens in China, according to the ministry.
The ministry urged all Lithuanians who are now in the Asian country to register in its travel registration system at https://keliauk.urm.lt/lt/keliones-registracijos-forma.
Eleven travelers to China have been tested for the virus on their arrival in Vilnius Airport since Saturday. The authorities prepare to provide training for personnel at Lithuania's airports.
According to Jakilaitiene, the ministry has no information about Lithuanian citizens in Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.
"Nobody has contacted the embassy for assistance in connection with the virus," she said.
Around 2,700 people have contracted the virus and the death toll has risen to at least 80, according to the official count.
