Vilnius expands number of hotels

2012 year, Vilnius will expand by almost 300 additional brand new hotel rooms. Event organizers can book not only room nights but also function rooms to suit every occasion - from a small meeting to a large convention, Vilnius Convention reports.

Vilnius marks a debut of the Kempinski luxury brand in the Baltic countries. The five star hotel - Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square Vilnius will open in September, 2012. Ideally located in the Old Town with breathtaking views over the Cathedral Square, the hotel will offer unsurpassed history, luxury and elegance in the heart of Vilnius.

This year Vilnius also welcomes an economy class hotel - Comfort Hotel LT, which belongs to the international chain of Nordic Choice Hotels.

 With the opening of these two new hotels the city's accommodation facilities will expand up to 4,500 rooms and 9,000 beds in total. International hotel chains such as Kempinski, Le Meridien, Relais & Chateaux, Radisson Blu, Best Western, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Novotel have venues in Vilnius, reported ELTA/LETA.
