Print versionVilnius tourism possibilities will be presented at the international tourism exhibition JATA in Tokyo. It will begin on Friday and last until September 21.

According to Nijole Beliukeviciene, head of the Vilnius tourism and city image department, Japan is becoming a more and more important Vilnius tourism market.
The number of tourists arriving from Japan is growing. In January-June this year, 30 percent more Japanese people visited Vilnius year-on-year, reports ELTA.
The main target of the participation in the exhibition is to present Vilnius as an open, modern and hospitable city will which become the European Capital of Culture in 2009.
