Baltics becoming more popular among Japanese tourists

Print versionThe Baltic state are becoming more popular in the Japanese tourism market, writes LETA according to Latvian Investments and Development Agency’s representative Inese Sirava said.

The agency’s Tourism Department informed that the three Baltic states on September 23-25 ran a joint stand at JATA Tourism Expo Japan in Tokyo.
"Our stand was visited by high level specialists who showed true interest in the Baltic states. Next week representatives from 30 Japanese tour companies will arrive in Latvia to the annual Baltic Connecting event and the work will be continued. The Baltic states are becoming more popular in the Japanese tourism market," said Sirava.
This year Latvia in the Tokyo’s fair was represented by specialists from tour companies Baltijas Celojumu Grupa, Latvia Tours, Estravel Latvija and rural tourism association Lauku Celotajs.
