In August, apartment prices in Lithuania grow most in Vilnius

The Ober-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI), which records the rates of change in apartment prices in five major Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys), grew by 0.3% in August 2014, reports LETA/ELTA.

In July, 0.1% growth was observed, while in a year the total growth of prices was at 4.7%.

 

Vilnius saw the biggest change of 0.4% and the average price per square metre reached LTL 4.450 (EUR 1.288). Price per square metre rose by LTL 19 (EUR 5.5) per month. Per year price in Vilnius increased by 7.3%.

 

In Panevezys and Kaunas 0.3 and 0.2% respective growth was recorded. The average price per square metre grew by LTL 4 (EUR 1.2) and reached LTL 1.832 (EUR 530). Meanwhile, in Kaunas it increased by LTL 8 (EUR 2.3) to LTL 3.259 (EUR 944) per square metre. In Klaipeda and Siauliai the average apartment price per square metre remained the same in August as in July and stood at LTL 3.381 (EUR 979) and LTL 1.940 (EUR 562) respectively.

 

The average yearly apartment price growth was observed in all Lithuania's cities: in Vilnius by 7.3%, in Panevezys by 3.0%, in Siauliai by 2.6%, in Klaipeda by 1.9% and in Kaunas by 1.2%.
