Real estate price growth slows down in Lithuania in May

Print versionOber-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI), which records apartment price changes in the five largest cities in Lithuania, noted 0.3% growth in May 2014, reports LETA/ELTA.

Apartment prices in the capital increased by 0.5% and the average price per square meter reached LTL 4,411 (EUR 1,278). Over the past twelve months apartment prices in Vilnius increased by 6.8%. Compared to 2010, prices increased by 10.7%.
In Kaunas and Klaipeda apartment prices were increasing steadily and amounted to the same 0.1%. The average price per square meter in Kaunas increased to LTL 3,235 (EUR 938) and in Klaipeda – LTL 3,376 (EUR 978).
In Siauliai and Panevezys apartment prices remained stable (the same as in April), in Siauliai LTL 1,939 (EUR 562) and in Pavezezys LTL 1,825 (EUR 529).
The positive yearly change in apartment prices was recorded in Siauliai 2.8%, Panevezys 2.7%, Klaipeda 1.6% and in Kaunas 0.4%.
