Soviet-era apartment prices in Riga grew by 4.8% in 6 months

The average price of pre-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga has increased 4.8% over the past six months of 2013, according to the latest Ober-Haus real estate market overview, reports LETA/Nozare.lv.

The average price of pre-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga was EUR 614 (LVL 430) per square meter in this past November.

 

The prices of pre-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga's most popular suburbs, such as Teika, Purvciems, Plavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, Imanta and Agenskalns, ranged from EUR 23,000 to EUR 30,000 (LVL 16,100 to LVL 21,000) for one-room apartments, EUR 32,000 to EUR 40,000 (LVL 22,400 to LVL 28,000) for two-room, EUR 36,000 to EUR 47,000 (LVL 25,200 to LVL 32,900) for three-room, and EUR 45,000 to EUR 52,000 (LVL 31,500 to LVL 36,400) for four-room apartments.

 

In November, the demand for apartments in Riga's suburbs increased, and more apartments were put up for sale. Buyers were mostly interested in one-room apartments with prices ranging from EUR 490 (LVL 343) per square meter to EUR 740 (LVL 518) per square meter.
