In September, apartment prices in Vilnius, Riga, Warsaw up, in Tallinn – stable

In Vilnius, apartment prices up for eighth month in a row, rising 0.2% to 1,204 EUR/sqm in September 2013. During a year apartment prices in Vilnius increased by 1.2%, and since the last lowest price level (May 2010) have raised 4.3% (+50 EUR/sqm). Apartment prices in Riga have increased by 0.3% and remained unchanged in Tallinn, informs LETA/ELTA.

In the first nine months of 2013, the number of apartment transactions in Vilnius increased by 32% comparing with the same period of 2012, real estate company Ober Haus reports.

 

In September 2013, apartment prices in Riga have increased by 0.3% to average price of 1,000 EUR/sqm. Over the past 12 months, the average apartment price has increased 1.1%. The biggest (and only) increase in September was recorded for old construction apartments in residential districts of the capital (1.4%). The number of apartment transactions in first nine months of 2013 gone up by 8% compared with the same period of 2012.

 

In September 2013, apartment prices in Tallinn remained unchanged, with an average price of 1,254 EUR/sqm. Compared with September 2012, average price have increased 12.1%. There were in total 5,689 sale-purchase transactions involving flats during first nine months of 2013, which is 9.5% more than in the same period of 2012.

 

In September 2013 apartment prices have decreased the most 0.3% in Gdansk and this brings the average apartment price down to EUR 1,303 per sqm. The prices decreased also 0.2% in Poznan. Prices in other cities remained unchanged (Cracow) or slightly increased (Warsaw and Lodz). During the last 12 months the price of apartments has dropped from 3.4% in Warsaw to 5.7% in Gdansk. From the highest apartment price level and until September 2013, apartment prices drop from 15.5% in Warsaw to 37.1% in Lodz.
