Estonian real estate market activeness stays at 2012 level

The weighted average price of a square metre of apartment space in Estonian towns grew by 1.6% in September as Estonian real estate market activeness stays at 2012 level, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The Pindi Index indicated that the weighted average price of a square meter of flats in the 17 bigger Estonian cities and towns was 970 EUR. In August, the revised index sum was 954 EUR a square metre.

 

While in August, 1,130 transactions were carried out with flats in 17 larger Estonian cities, in September the activity level in transactions was 1,106. Pindi Kinnisvara analyst Siim Simson said that different from forecasts, the market has stayed at the 2012 level in the final months of the summer. In August last year, 1,125 transactions and in September last year, 1,086 transactions were conducted in the cities and towns.

 

The price index compiled by Pindi Kinnisvara takes into account the weighted average price of a square metre of purchase and sale contracts where the objects are flat ownerships in all county centres as well as in the cities of Kohtla-Järve and Narva.
